Crosscore vs TRX Suspension Training

One of the top three fitness trends today is Bodyweight suspension training. Why is it so popular you may ask? First off, it is an extremely efficient way of working out as you can train your entire body on the suspension trainer. This means a very small space is needed to do a job that 20-30 machines would normally do. Second, it is a very affordable way to workout as all the extra machines are not needed and a typical suspension device costs no more than $250. Third, the suspension trainers are portable and can be taken anywhere; the beach,
1. TRX is a suspension trainer only allowing the participant to perform exercises in two planes of motion – frontal and sagittal – a major difference between the two programs. This basically means they can perform exercises to the front and to the side. One essential thing TRX is missing is the transverse plane. The most important plane of motion by far, this is the rotational plane. A person cannot be a true athlete without training in the transverse plane. Seventy percent of reported injuries across the U.S are from non-contact, this means people are injuring themselves by doing day to day activities like bending over to pick something up. Bottom line is rotation is the key for success. CrossCore has a patent on the pulley system and is in a category of it’s own rotational body weight training!
2. The CrossCore can turn into a pulley system where a kettlebell or a dumbbell can be attached to one end. This is an amazing yet very simple difference over the competition. One CrossCore creates a single pulley system where you can do tons of exercises like chops, pulldowns, tricep extensions, ab crunches etc. Now if you hook up two separate CrossCores six feet apart, you can do even more! To buy a cable pulley system for a gym you could pay up to $20,000. CrossCore has free floating (alive) weights that make it even more challenging and is much more affordable.
3. CrossCore can be locked and put into static mode where the pin is in the pulley and the two handles are attached to the top of the pulley as well. This creates a locked, pull-up apparatus as well as a lower ab hanging apparatus.
